Sarape

The sarape project (hereafter Sarape) a decentralized software system on the Ethereum network. This website (hereafter sarape.io) is only an interface built to help users interact with the Ethereum smart contract of Sarape (hereafter the Sarape Smart Contract), and with the separate Ethereum smart contract of Colorverse (hereafter the Colorverse Smart Contract), which is available through the website colorverse.io and is entirely independent from Sarape.

Ownership, transactions and security

You are purchasing a unique svg token with a unique token identifier or Token ID. When you purchase a svg on Sarape (hereafter a sarape token) you own the Non-Fungible Token (hereafter NFT) on the Ethereum blockchain corresponding to that particular (svg) token, namely the NFT of the purchased sarape token. However, you do not own the purchased svg or any rights of, or associated with it outside Sarape, namely outside the Sarape Smart Contract context. Ownership of the NFT is mediated entirely by the Sarape Smart Contract and the Ethereum Network: at no point may Sarape seize, freeze, or otherwise modify the ownership of any sarape tokens.

In addition, the Sarape Smart Contract may interact with the Colorverse Smart Contract to verify ownership of Colorverse color tokens and/or to retrieve Colorverse token names (as defined in the Colorverse Smart Contract), which may be used as metadata to form the sarape token name visible on the sarape token svg. The Sarape Smart Contract allows for tokens with a tokenId between 1 and 64 to be claimed (that is, minted for gas costs only, no additional fee) only by the owner of the Colorverse token or tokens with a Token ID corresponding to the color or colors used to mint the sarape token. In the Colorverse Smart Contract, any NFT holder is eligible to name or rename their owned Colorverse tokens on the Ethereum blockchain. Colorverse (that is, colorverse.io) strictly prohibits the use of offensive language in the naming process. Any insulting names will be removed from the interface. Since the smart contracts are open to anyone, we cannot hinder naming or a name change of a Colorverse token on the Ethereum blockchain. Also, Sarape cannot hinder naming or a name change of a sarape token on the Ethereum blockchain.

Users are entirely responsible for the safety and management of their own private keys and Ethereum wallets, and for verifying all transactions generated by the website sarape.io before approving those transactions. Use of sarape.io is at the user's own risk and Sarape is not liable for any incorrect or failed transactions, nor for the gas costs incurred. Furthermore, as the Sarape Smart Contract runs on the Ethereum network, Sarape has no power to undo, reverse, or restore any transactions. By using sarape.io, and any related tools it may provide, you agree to hold Sarape harmless for any and all problems, errors, and failures no matter the cause or source of those errors and accept sole responsibility for all transactions.

Tax

All paid prices exclude any possible duties and charges. You (the user) will be solely responsible to pay any and all sales, use, value-added and other taxes, duties and assessments claimed or imposed by your or any governmental authority.
